India’s crude imports from the USA and Russia (%) before and after the war

As you can see from this chart, before Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the first half of 2021, India's crude imports from Russia were 3% and from the USA they were 10.7%.

However, in the first half of 2025 (3 years after the start of the invasion) India's crude imports from Russia are 37.3% (an increase by more than 35%). Meanwhile, India's crude reports from the USA are 5.5% (a decrease by more than 5%).

No wonder why Trump is so angry at India. Also, India have stated that they don't feel intimidated by American sanctions and they will continue trading with Russia.
