Geely-backed Polestar sold 538 vehicles in Sweden in July, down 46.7% from the record 1,010 units registered in June, as overall vehicle sales in the country fell nearly 39%.

Data shared by Mobility Sweden showed last Friday that Polestar sales rose 42.7% compared to the 377 units it sold a year ago.

Vehicle sales in Sweden fell to 19,648 units in July, down 38.7% from 32,030 in June, reflecting the typical seasonal slowdown seen at the start of the third quarter — a pattern also observed in last year’s figures.

Compared to June, Polestar’s market share in Sweden fell from 3.15% to 2.74%.

His role will involve working across multiple brands within the group — including Geely Auto, Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Lotus, Polestar, Smart, among others.
