  1. As a fat cunt who buys delivery pizza all the time I’m not surprised. Quality is awful, over priced and the delivery guys take ages. Dominos and Pizza Hut are twice as far away from my house as papa johns and turn up twice as fast.

    Edit: honestly try and find a local pizza place rather than a chain. I’ve switched to a local place that’s cheaper than the chains, much better quality and has their own drivers so it turns up piping hot. Fat boy standards hit. AJ pizza if you are ever up in Aberdeen. Or down in Aberdeen if you are a proper sheep shagger.

  5. The middle run prized chains are always the ones to go. I’m sorry but I’m not paying 19 quid for a pizza and I doubt their target audience are either.

  6. For delivery, would rather have Dominoes or maybe Pizza Hut. For dining in, would rather go to the pub or an Italian place if I feel like it.

  8. We used to have Domino’s but they started to charge extra for delivery- 2.99 because of high delivery cost due to Covid. It’s still there so I get pizzas from them anymore. Price of Takeaways are such a joke- Chinese near me is about 50% higher if I get it delivered as opposed to picking it up

  14. I had Papa John’s once and it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Momma John’s needs to kick him in the balls for serving such garbage.

  15. While I agree that the pizzas are really bad what people don’t seem to have realised is the sides were decent. Theres a much more interesting selection of things than dominoes obviously if you wanted a pizza as well you would go elsewhere.

  16. I ordered once and never again years ago when one opened up near me. Absolutely disgusting and inedible and what was with the garlic butter dip 🤢. I don’t know anyone who would choose to order from there so not surprised one bit!

  17. I didn’t realise they had a bad rep for pizzas until this post tbh. Our local one was ok. I stopped using them when my delivery didn’t arrive. I phoned half an hour after the ETA and they said it’s on its way. Half an hour later it wasn’t here so I drove to the shop and they hadn’t even fucking started it. They gave it me for free but I never went back. If it’s late, just phone me ffs. It’s fine, it happens. Don’t lie and leave people in limbo.

    Pizza Express is currently my favourite.
    My other half prefers Pizza Hut but that too has hints of ass imho.

    As for any questions relating to my supposed knowledge of what an ass tastes like, I’d like for that to remain a mystery which your mums and I rather not discuss in public.

  21. Never liked them. I tried a good few times just in case it was a location thing (can’t be buggered staff).

    Friends were swearing left and right that Papa johns was the best lmao. But every time, sweaty cheese and toppings, pizza sauce allways veeery thin, as almost if they used a butter knife to spread it lol and the dough is a 4 out of 10 for me, much like those cheap bases you get out of asda.

    There was nothing special about them at all.

    You can build n cook a pizza at home better than papa Johns.

  24. I remember their pizza being really good, but the last time I looked to order the prices were absurd. Thankfully, that made me look at a local independent place that does better for cheaper.

  30. Papa John’s re-opened recently near me back in the same location it was before it closed the last time, i’d not be surprised if they were shuttered.

    Prefer Domino’s myself if i fancy a takeaway Pizza, but then getting one of those pizza deal things from Tesco for about £7 on Clubcard is usually what i go for.

  34. Their prices are insane when compared to the competition. Even their offers do not add up when compared to the competition and their offers.

    Plus their original garlic butter dip is the worse thing I have ever tasted.

  38. Stopped ordering when they stopped selling the small dips of passata sauce. Cheap as chips for them to make and sell but a big deal for me

  39. One opposite road from me has been closed but not replaced for a while. I used to order from the one in my next town before this one opened, now I can’t order at all. Although I’ve moved away from takeaway pizza so I can’t complain. Shame as I preferred it to the Dominos near me. Iceland pizzas beat both anyway

  40. Back in the day, company I worked for would have weekly “pizza meetings” which involved a mass papa John’s order for about 80 people

    The pizza was shit, but it was free.
