  1. It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

  2. Well I only read the first part of that.

Just far enough for it to show that the link between cruelty to animals and escalation to humans is real

  3. I love how they attach this behaviour to online content at the end.

The kid is a good old-fashioned psychopath and should never see another morning as a free man.

  4. Put them in the tiger cage, let them pick on someone their own size.

  5. Locking this sort away doesn’t deter. They enjoy a cushy life behind bars where they can indulge their fetishes.

I think they should be sedated and fed through an intravenous tube, woken once a year to be updated with bad news only and then re-sedated.

  6. 12 and 9 months detention orders…OH and lifetime bans from keeping animals, phew that should do it. /s

  7. This guy needs to be on a watchlist for the rest of his life.

  8. Awful bxxxxxds. What the hell, what have the parents got to say about that. What disgusting human beings are they…..well one day karma will get the pair of them. I hope to have a front row seat.

  9. Article says the image is edited to protect their identity, but if you scroll down you can see the same image unblurred. Whoops BBC!

Anyway, posting it because I absolutely dont care about protecting their identity (also its already publicly available).

  10. I’m lost for words really. But these 2 sickos needed a longer sentence than that. But I suppose guidelines need to be adhered to.

  11. This is fucking awful. Nasty psycho fuckers. I can’t even read the article

  12. Ffs! Future psycho killers. Jeez what has become if the youth of today? Absolute scumbags! Wonder really what kind of parenting these little basket cases have. We need good old training camps for these cretins!

  13. They will go on to commit further sadistic crimes 100% guaranteed. They need a very long stay in a psychiatric hospital, maybe a permanent one.

Trying to use ADHD and Autism as an excuse is reprehensible and offensive. People with Autism usually have a heightened sense of compassion and an aversion to injustice.

  14. >Judge Rai told the girl, who also had no previous convictions: “It is not clear who took the lead but from what I have read you were both equally responsible.

If it wasn’t clear then why the hell did she get 9 months while he was sentenced to 12.

  15. What does ADHD and autism have to do with it? Why even bring it up? Those disorders are irrelevant here…

  16. I just read this, my heart broke, I have pets myself and can’t imagine the level of pain they inflicted and I can’t believe the sentencing was so light. How on earth is this going to stop them from going back to their savage behaviour in 9/12 months.

  17. Sick vile individuals they should get far longer in jail I say life never allow them out to see the light of day

  18. There is an article on the BBC at the moment about an online cat torture ring which may be linked to this case, which has me thinking about why cats in particular are the victims in this case.

There’s a theory that hatred of cats is linked to sexism and misogyny. To be clear, I’m not talking about disliking cats. Plenty of people who aren’t particularly fond of cats don’t hold misogynistic beliefs. It’s normal to prefer some animals over others. It’s also very normal to have a phobia of some animals. I have a phobia of most rodents, but I’d still be upset if I saw a rat or mouse being tortured in front of me. Im not talking about people who just don’t like being around cats for whatever reason. I’m talking about people who want to see cats hurt or killed. Cats are very independent and are very hard to control. There’s a theory that narcissists and people with narcissistic tendencies despise that about them. Independence is also a trait that misogynists REALLY despise in women. I wouldn’t be all that surprised if cases of extreme violence against cats and other animals become more common in the news due to the rise in popularity of Andrew Tate-style influencers.

I’m very glad my own elderly cat is now mostly an indoor cat due to deafness. She gets a supervised stroll in the garden every other day, and I am very glad she shows no interest in exploring in her old age. I’ll be holding her extra tight tonight anyway. I’d encourage any cat lovers NOT to read the article, as some details are pretty nasty, but to reassure anyone who’s not read the article, the court has ordered that the girl’s pet rabbit be taken away from her and both teenagers are banned from owning animals for life. At least there’s some tiny bit of hope in this story.
