EUR / USD is slightly down at 1.157. Gold trades slightly up at 3,375.8 dollars per ounce. A gloomy day for Light Sweet Crude Oil, which is trading at 66.79 dollars per barrel, down -0.8%.
The Spread is broadly on the previous day’s level as it settles at +83 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.44%.
Among the European indices, Frankfurt stands out, progressing +1.42%, London is modestly up (+0.66%), and a positive performance for Paris, which advances by a notable +1.14%.
At the Borsa Italiana in Milan, the FTSE MIB closes firmly higher (+1.89%), reaching 40,697 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges to end the session at 43,230 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is on a joyride (+1.71%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star posts marginal gains (+0.58%).
Mediobanca (+4.62%), Unicredit (+3.65%), MPS Bank (+3.61%) and Intesa Sanpaolo (+3.24%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.
Amplifon has the worst performance, closing -2.56% down.
DiaSorin is sluggish, declining marginally (-1.39%).
Campari is modestly down, shedding -1.04%.
Saipem drifts -1.03% lower.
Carel Industries (+9.66%), NewPrinces (+6.90%), WIIT (+5.58%) and D’Amico (+5.29%) top the ranks of Milan’s mid-caps.
Banca Ifis reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -8.52% down.
Ferragamo declines by a notable -2.81%.
MFE B totters along with a modest -1.35% decline.
A sluggish day for Marr, which drops -1.17%.
