It’s probably free to take part, is probably cheap to eat and drink and it’s almost certainly booze-free. Aside from staying at home, I can’t think of anywhere else where you can get this
Does the quiz format fall apart after about 4 rounds?
Imagine there’s a round where they hold up a candlestick and ask you its name.
How sad do you have to be to go to a quiz night at IKEA?
Not everywhere has cafes that open in the evening to run this sort of event. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol at their social event. Seems pretty good to me and assuming they’re not trying to get you to buy their products every five minutes, seems like a pleasant community spirited event.
No, but I really want to go!
The IKEA bar will be next
The first round is
“TV show or TV cabinet?”
One of the rounds is how quickly you can assemble a BÄLLBÄG side table. Ponts for speed, accuracy and fewest swearwords used.
Round 1: Jens has let these instruction sets get mixed up! Which team can get them into order the fastest?
Round 2: invent plausibly Swedish sounding names for these items
Round 3: assemble these bookcases, blindfolded, while the rest of your team tell you what to do!
Round 4: sweep the Marketplace
Round 5: race around the store following the arrows
Round 6: accounts!
There used to be a website called IKEA or Death where you had to decide if a name was an IKEA product or a death metal band. I think it would be amazing if a couple of those sorts of questions were mixed in the IKEA quiz.
Bit late posting this aren’t you?
My daughter went to one in Edinburgh, I think it was fun.
The Glasgow IKEA used to do a Shrimp and Schnapps night. We went to the first one. I think they got enough schnapps for one each for every ticket they sold, forgetting that half the attendees were children, and half of the rest were driving….
I had to drag my wife off the play area after about 12 large shots, and pour her into the car.
My mum actually quite likes to go to these things. It’s a normal general knowledge quiz with some food and drink. He prizes are usual small decor items or snacks from the little food shop area by the tills.
Good news is you have 11 months to clear your calendar
I like how it says “prizes/fun/meatballs” instead of “prizes/fun/snacks” or summat. You gotta specify them meatballs haha. (No shade at all, they’re delicious!)
I want to start a band just so that I can have a first album called “Prizes, Fun, Meatballs”
You have to assemble your own question lists together yourself but apart from that it’s ok
Seems they do other events too https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/stores/events/

Dear Christ that sounds hellish
They’re about Swedish film and television.
Fun, prizes, AND meatballs? Sign me up!
But you have to assemble the quiz yourself
