Hapoel Tel Aviv has announced a contract extension with guard/forward Guy Palatin, who will remain with the club through the end of the 2027/28 season.

Palatin was named the Israeli League’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2023/24 and has built a strong reputation as one of the country’s top defenders.

He averaged 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and shot 42.5% from three-point range in just over 15 minutes per game last season.

“It’s a great honor to wear the red jersey,” Palatin said. “I’m excited and proud to extend my contract. Last season was very emotional, and I hope it’s just the beginning.”

Head coach Dimitris Itoudis praised the player’s commitment and upside: “Guy is an exceptional athlete and defender with huge potential we’re looking forward to developing further.”

Sporting director Giorgos Hinas added: “Guy is a true professional who brings intensity every time he steps on the court. That’s the spirit of Hapoel.”
