The Ukrainian Armed Forces are using fishing nets to catch Russian FPV drones. Some are handmade by Ukrainians, others are donated by European fishermen. It’s a simple and low-cost solution that’s proven effective: enemy attacks drop significantly along routes covered by the nets.

When the ruzzians started with this I was laughing to be honest
Why just the net? Wouldn’t wires hanging down all the way across at random points allow vehicles to drive through while tangling up drones if they try to fly through?
War is changing and adapting so bizarrely fast
Russians HATE this one simple trick….!!!
That’s a nifty solution. Practical, cheap, and it reuses material that was at or near end of its use.
I don’t follow the war closely enough to know if this is a new idea but if you could produce something like this on a large scale to protect vital infrastructure and buildings then it would be worth it.
Perhaps the turtle tanks will become fish tanks
I question how effective these are. One drone blows a hole in the net. Others fly through. Does anybody repair the hole quickly if at all? It’s not like we haven’t seen Ukrainian drones operating inside the nets.
i posted an idea to create instant fishing net drone defense yesterday using all the fibre opticcable on the ground!!!
It must bei very dangerous to install this devices in plain sight of the invaders drones.
Weird times, we’re in.
One drone makes hole.. rest follow ???
I love you, clever and resilient people! Slava Ukraini !!
So the Russia were correct in implementing this?
Based on watching Ukrainian drones slip into Russian attempts and sweep down the road makes it clear that riding fence just became a crucial job- keep the holes closed.
Let’s subsidize European Fishermen!
