Just a quick rant: Some drivers of expensive cars don't seem to care about parking closer to the curb.
Is that kind of parking allowed here in Switzerland?
I get that maneuvering space can sometimes be tight, but this seems a bit excessive.

Its not allowed you get a fine, but also the g class just doesnt have enough space, its too wide that doesnt have anything to do with parking skills
Yes, i agree, car parking spaces are often too small. 😆

SSV Art. 79
>^(6) Wo Parkfelder markiert sind, dürfen Fahrzeuge nur innerhalb dieser Felder parkiert werden. Parkfelder dürfen nur von den Fahrzeugarten benützt werden, für die sie grössenmässig bestimmt sind.

Neither of those cars fit in the blue lines, and therefor should be banned from inside the city. Speaking as an car owner and someone who has a wide ass 911.
not that bad. the parking width is just stuck in the 60s
wouldnt bother in such a situation to perfectly park.
also people park like shit no matter what car. these two examples just bring more attention. just go to any random parking lot.
Yeah I definitely observed this ignorance in wealthy people. Just recently I observed a woman parking like 2 meters off and her husband trying to correct her, but she was too arrogant to do anything about it.
In this case the parking space is too narrow. The car seems to be legally allowed to drive in Switzerland.
Even the car has better parking skills than the driver that didn’t use the parking assistant
Those parking spots are barely wide enough for smart cars.
Swiss parking standards are ridiculously small: Switzerland has the smallest legal parking spots in Europe, yet the most SUVs.
These cars should be forbidden 🚫
Scratch the rim: 3000.- damage. Parking fine: 40.-
I park close to the curb and I just came to terms that twice a year when I change winter/summer tires I have to pay to have the scratches in my wheels fixed, I just put it in the car maintenance budget. It’s just a fact of life when driving in Switzerland, your wheels are going to get scratched.
Those guys here have money for an expensive car but are afraid of scratching their wheels.
Fines are the same for millionaires vs regular folks, ergo finds are actually much lower for rich people, insignificant for some of them.
These cars should be banned. G wagon for being ugly AF, especially from Brabus
No way the cars fit into the parking space anyway, they should park somewhere else.
Everything that is punishable by a fine isn’t illegal per se, they’re premium life features that some people can afford and others can’t. If you drive a Rolls or a Brabus, a parking ticket is one you can most likely afford.
you mean no budget left to the brain and thinking about others*
Both cars are wider than the parking spot, basic physics says that one side or the other has to be over the line. That has nothing to do with skills
to be fair, those are the 2 ugliest cars I’ve ever seen. Even the curb doesn’t want to be in the picture.
Those pics look cool as hell. Like small model cars.
My Car is too wide for 80% of the parking spaces. Tough luck. if i get 99 parking fines, its still cheaper than a new rim. (around 4k).
Either way, not a topic for the communists in r/switzerland.
I mean, it’s so big. Do you think they will fit? (That’s what she said)
