I'm traveling in Northern Norway and I've noticed there's a lot of fireweed growing in people's gardens, sometimes small fields even.

Do you use fireweed to something or is it just because it looks pretty? Because it does look very very pretty.

  3. Nah. It just grows like crazy. It is a pioneer plant, meaning it is one of the first plants to grown after the soil has been disturbed. That’s why you call it fireweed. Some brits call it bombweed since it was usually the first flower to bloom in a bomb crater.
