  1. I wasn’t asking for much. But spending a bag on getting the 2 johnnies instead of like, an actual musical act, is pissing me off. Call me a begrudger or whatever. I feel like the saw doctors covers that kind of vibe already though either way.

I actually don’t mind the headliners too, feel like it’s the best of the past few years.

  2. If you get the chance, definitely see David Gray. He’s incredible live.

I saw Chic there before, they were brilliant too. Nile Rodgers worked with everyone, including Madonna, Sister Sledge, David Bowie and Daft Punk. Those songs get thrown into the set.

  3. I’ve never bought a ticket to see Nile Rodgers and Chic play and yet have somehow seen them live about 20 times. They’re always playing Ireland festivals and gigs for whatever reason.

  4. Based on that line up i wouldn’t be surprised if we see Richie Kavanagh doing a secret set

  5. They say the festival is getting more expensive so they can’t budget for better artists but they also keep increasing the prices on tickets, on vendors etc.

It’s all one big money grab.

And in fairness, we don’t give them any reason to not skimp on acts seeing as it sells out in advance every year.

Makes ATN’s lineup look positively amazing in contrast.

  6. Oh thank god the two Johnny’s are there. Was really worried I wasn’t gonna get my dose of 2010 chicken fillet roll made with mammys wooden spoon will you shift my friend he left the immersion on when he went to go play County humour.

  7. Seeing the 2 Johnnies in the second biggest list of acts really shows how far this festival has fallen

  8. Hilltop hoods, I am sure the time many Irish spent in Oz have made them more popular here. Random one.

  9. Highly recommend seeing Viagra Boys if you’re going. They were brilliant in the Olympia a few months back. Seeing footage of them playing “Research Chemicals” at Glastonbury a few years ago got me into them.

  10. Kings of Leon , the most boring live act on earth. Like watching paint dry.

  11. Every time I look at this line up I laugh a little bit, and reminisce on the line ups of the past that would actually be worth today’s entry fee.

I’d pay 250 quid and fill out all the paperwork to have The 2 Johnnies deported to another planet though.

  12. I saw King Kong Company at Beyond the Pale and they were brilliant. Highly, highly recommend!

  13. Kings of Leon, headlining in the year of Our Lord 2025?

Chappelle Roan being second on the Friday card is 100% a scheduling choice, she’s the biggest act on the line-up once you factor out Hozier being Irish. I feel this is a quite weak line-up, not because I don’t know the acts, but because the ones I do know are pretty skippable.

  14. Really want to go to EP for the first time but the lineup being so bad is putting me off 🙁

  15. Hozier, Fatboy Slim and KOL would’ve been shite headliners for EP ten years ago let alone in 2025

  16. Kneecap surely should be headlining one of the days. Seems a bit of a misstep?

  17. I’ve seen the likes of The Sex Pistols, Beastie Boys, New Order, Doves, Kraftwerk, Grace Jones, Iggy, Massive Attack at EP over the years. It’s been pretty shit for the last 10 years. This line up should be the last.

  18. Do not miss Confidence Man, they are an absolute hoot and have an amazing vibe. Highlight of the festival for me.

  19. Electric Picnic has basically become Oxegen (in terms of size) but somehow the lineup has got worse even though it has doubled in size??????

  20. I know embarrassingly few of these. I think I need to accept that I’m just old 🫤

  21. Kings of Leon? 2010 called, they want their headliner back.
