Hey, the company I work for has insured phones, meaning we repair them at our own expense and provide invoices. Today they refused to refund me because they said I received an estimate, not an invoice. Is this true, or did someone at my company make a mistake? What can I do now? Go to the police/tax office? I paid by bank transfer because Mr. Arab didn't accept cards (he insisted on cash or PayPal).

HILARIOUS!
That’s a horrible scam. Sorry for you
Probably, Comic Sans and spelling mistakes isn’t a good look.
It’s an invoice. It’s days Rechnung on it and it has a Rechnungsnummer. The person at your company that refused to refund you has no clue.
I actually don’t get the case here lol. Could you double check your text? Doesn’t make sense to me
I have seen legit invoices, which look like that, because it’s a one-man shop and the owner probably is in the boomer generation.
Check the VAT ID Number [https://www.ust-id-prufen.de/](https://www.ust-id-prufen.de/) and search the UST ID on Google so you can be sure, It’s not just stolen from a legit but different company.
It is an actual real and correct invoice. The only way you got scammed is that you didn’t get what you paid for.
DISPALY AUSTASUCH
You can revoke the bank transfer if you got scammed. Talk to your bank tomorrow morning.
If I see it correctly, all the needed informations for a proper invoice are given. A terrible layout doesn’t necessarily make it a scam, especially since you did receive the service you‘ve paid for, right?
invoices which seriously using Comic Sans should be a crime against humanity
I don’t exactly get your problem, but let me tell you one thing: This invoice is some of the sloppiest, low effort and overall haphazardly made things I have ever seen. If I would ever suspect an invoice would be fake, it is this one.
Apart from that, I don’t exactly understand your problem? You have to have the mobiles, that are given to you by your company, be repaired and paid privately and give the invoices to the company – and now your company does not pay for that invoice because they think it is not a Rechnung? To me it is pretty clearly a Rechnung, no estimate, allthough as mentioned above an extremely sloppy one that could not look faker if they tried.
It’s not an estimate. It’s an invoice, even though it doesn’t look 100% professional but that doesn’t matter. Lot of smaller shops have invoices that look this way.
Check the USt-ID. This way you know if the company is legit.
This is an invoice, so if your company truly says they refuse because it’s an estimate, thats wrong.
The only way this is a scam is if somehow the business with the given ID number doesnt exist and you didn’t receive the service stated on the invoice, but that doesnt seem to be the case. Your company should refund you, because while spelling mistakes may not look nice, they are neither illegal nor make the transaction invalid.
I’d say you maybe accidentally went to a person who doesn’t actually own a repair shop but instead works illegally without paying taxes.
The horrible spelling mistakes, whole layout and the fact that I cannot find anything on them on the internet speak for that theory. So maybe they did an OK job but the invoice seems fake.
As someone else has already stated: Check the USt.-IdNr.
You paid 140€ for a screen swap for a ~200€ phone?
