Princess Kate makes meaningful decision ahead of historic royal event

Kate Middleton, who is gearing up for her destined role in the monarchy, seemingly had a set plan on what kind of a Queen she wants to be.

As Prince William is being prepared to take the throne at “a moment’s notice” by the Firm amid King Charles’s ongoing cancer treatment, Kate has been focusing on her healing from her own cancer journey and easing back into royal duties.

The Princess of Wales, who grew up in the leafy Berkshire, has previously detailed how being in nature and her connection with it helped her along her cancer treatment which she underwent for nine months.

Prince William’s wife added that the outdoors brings her “a sort of sense of peace and reconnection in what is otherwise a very busy world”.

Kate tied the knot with William in April 2011 at the Westminster Abbey.

The venue was decked with 30,000 flowers, most taken from Windsor Great Park’s Valley Gardens in Surrey, a “meaningful” nod to the future Queen’s country style.

“Princess Kate’s decision to have a tree-flanked altar not only suited the grandeur of her wedding venue, but also hinted at her love of nature – something she continues to advocate for today,” Hello!’s Lifestyle Editor and weddings expert, Nichola Murphy said.

She noted that Kate grew up in the English countryside in Bucklebury and she loved “doing arts and crafts and going to the greenhouse to do gardening”.

At the time of the much-anticipated historic royal event, the royal wedding florist, Shane Connolly, said that the choice was the couple’s “full of resilience and full of strong love”.
