He hasn’t broken a ceasefire in Gaza or Ukraine, the cornerstone of his 2024 re-election pledge. But that hasn’t stopped Donald Trump from campaigning for the Nobel Peace Prize. According to him, no one is more deserving, and his critics are calling his want for one a borderline obsession. I should have gotten it four or five times. They won’t give me a Nobel Peace Prize cuz they only give it to liberals. The Peace Prize is awarded to honor efforts in arms control and disarmment, peace negotiation, democracy and human rights. And the nomination process starts next month. The president has now ended conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia, Israel and Iran, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, and Egypt and Ethiopia. It’s well past time that President Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Spent 12 hours on a train. He wants to do not just as well but better than him and say that he too has the prize and that Obama was ultimately a kind of parenthesis in American political life and that he Donald Trump is the real president of the United States. So does Donald Trump really have a chance? Some experts doubt it, pointing to ongoing conflict in Ukraine and Gaza, as well as growing international frustration and condemnation of his policies. Trump’s combative style and distrust for the United Nations could also hinder chances.

“It’s well past time that President Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on July 31, prompting reactions of disbelief and sarcasm from the Republican leader’s opponents. For some foreign leaders, mentioning the prestigious award has become a sign of diplomatic goodwill toward an American president who envisions himself as a peacemaker.

  41. Be open minded. Trump has objectively brokered several peace deals and the grateful countries thanked him. Obama got one for doing nothing. It's entirely political. Trump did not start the wars in Ukraine or Gaza. He is trying to end them, even against the wishes of his base. MAGA does not want to fund more killing in Ukraine or Gaza. But wars are much harder stop once they get going.
