Aug. 7—JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a report of a natural gas leak on Thursday, Aug. 7, in southeast Jamestown, according to Capt. Sheldon Mohr.

One unit and four firefighters responded to an area near the intersection of 11th Avenue and 12th Street Southeast at about 8:15 a.m. Thursday. Thirteen firefighters were at the Jamestown Fire Department’s station for standby.

Mohr said contractors struck a natural gas line.

Mohr said the four firefighters stood by until Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. secured the natural gas leak.

Firefighters were on scene for 1 hour, 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.
