I’m floored Ep 1 isn’t way higher. Any fellow old folks remember how hyped everyone was
That’s a legit presentation of the data.
Kind of crazy that VII is #1 in initial run, even adjusted for inflation, is really impressive.
So Solo is the only one that didn’t make back its budget? Wow
I enjoy how the legend describes IV as *Star Wars.* Nice touch.
Adjust for inflation AND population
Puzzling to me that V’s initial run did half as much as IV. Even without adjusting for inflation it’s significantly less. Wouldn’t everyone who saw IV go and see V? You’d think it would be an even bigger success. Especially because I’ve always considered V to be the best of the bunch.
Adjusted for inflation, the OG trilogy still slaps! It’s wild to see how the hype has cooled off with some of the newer films. 🚀
I’m still lost how The Force Awakens made that much money. I’m guessing it’s because of Disney’s marketing campaign. If so someday I’d like to see a Star Wars movie profitability chart.
I really like Solo, the worst performer here. Yeah, it has its dumb moments such as the space monster, but overall a decent film. The best of four right most, with RO a close second.
