War expansion: Israel’s security cabinet has approved a plan to take over Gaza City. Before the cabinet met, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel intended to take military control of all of Gaza.

• Phased plan: The deadline for evacuating Gaza City is October 7, according to an Israeli source. The plan calls for no aid distribution in the city as a means of forcing Palestinians to evacuate, according to a second Israeli source.

• Vision for Gaza’s future: The plan also outlined principles to end the war that included Israeli security control of Gaza and a civilian administration to govern the enclave that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority.

• Humanitarian crisis: Israel’s plan has drawn criticism from world leaders as global outcry mounts over starvation in Gaza, where only a trickle of aid has been allowed in and there are regular killings at aid sites.

  1. Netanyahu’s stupidity on full display.

He could of had a deal. Instead after the French call for a Palestinian state Hamas hardend its negotiating stance to remain armed and in control of Gaza when the hostages are released, effectively scuttling the negotiations.

Now Netanyahu has decided to escalate in the hope that further suffering will bring Hamas back to the table, but it won’t happen. Hamas will never surrender, even if another 65,000 Palestinians die.

October 7th has been an incredible success as far as they are concerned, and they want Israeli stupidity to give them more success at the small price of Palestinian lives and suffering.

  2. So, the usual group of users that staunchly defend Israel at every step are nowhere to be found.

Turned out, all of that talk was false. From the very first day.

Ethnic cleansing is now fully approved by the war criminal cabinet.

  3. I predicted this literally on 10/7. How else would Israel take over the Gaza Strip while trying to maintain a veneer of moral legitimacy and maintain international approval? Of course, they failed at the last two, but you can’t blame them for thinking it’d work, seeing as how the international community let them get away with literally everything for decades prior to this.

They’ve dishonored the memory of their dead on 10/7, fucked over their own hostages, and acted in ways that’d make Hitler proud. That is how history is going to remember this.

  4. Reminder to all misinformed or purposefully ignorant people in this thread that Gershon Baskin, Israeli negotiator, said that Hamas agreed multiple times in writing to return all hostages and to not govern Gaza.

This was in September 2024. Thousands of lives could’ve been spared.

  5. Good luck (not) to the IDF because they’ve effectively Scorched Earthed themselves in Gaza and the local population’s that’s rightfully very hostile to them is now their problem

  6. >Is all about the hostages

    >we don’t want to occupy Gaza

and now their propaganda turned into

    >Hamas are bad, we are forced to occupy Gaza.

    >Hostages? What hostages? Hostages are irrelevant

Pretty much everyone with one brain cell should have seen this coming. My bet is that they knew about the attack on 7 oct, and they did nothing so that they can to use it as a motive to kill or remove the Palestinians from Gaza. In about 2 months, we will hear from Israel and their propaganda machine claiming that they are “forced” to kill or remove the Palestinians from Gaza.

The crazy part is that after all these lies, a lot of morons still believe Israel propaganda. Even worse is that their motives are changing every few months, and people are eating that like chocolate.

  7. Worldnews is beating it to some weird fantasy of theirs that Israel will hand over Gaza to an imagined joint Arab League government, and that Gazans will really have it this time for “stealing aid”

What a strange and perverted place

  8. >Nonetheless, Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu is under great pressure from his right-wing base to take a harsher stance on the war, which Guterman said the prime minister has been leaning toward throughout the war.

    >Ahead of the Israeli security cabinet’s approval of a plan to take over Gaza City, far-right members of the government were pushing for the occupation of Gaza and proposing measures to encourage its population to leave the territory altogether.

That’s been the plan for a while, right? The author is acting like Netanyahu is in any way conflicted, and he’s only leaning toward this position out of political necessity. But asking Netanyahu to do horrible things to the Palestinians is like asking a fat guy if he wants seconds at a Las Vegas buffet.

  9. What? The very obvious Israeli Lebensraum plan is becoming official policy? Who could have predicted this? Could it have been anyone who has ever taken a sober look at Israel, its policies and political-social ethos?

(Yes anyone with half a brain could have predicted this and ever politician that facilitated it should go the way of Milosevic)

  10. They adopted five principles for ending the war:

    1. Disarming Hamas

    2. Returning hostages

    3. Demilitarizing Gaza

    4. Maintaining a security presence in Gaza

    5. Formation of a civilian government for Gaza who is not Hamas and not PA

This was against the recommendation of the Joint Chief of Staff of the Israeli military [source](https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/defense-news/article-863594)

This was also not the most hawkish proposition, with Minister Smotrich demanding a full occupation, annexation and removal of Gaza’s population to other countries under the so-called Trump vision.

  11. Vindication, but at what cost..

Myself and many others on Reddit have been saying that this was always the endgame, only to be bashed by the Hasbara trolls.

  12. Wishing the IDF a swift and crushing victory.

The end of both the war and of Hamas is coming.

I guess Oct 7th wasn’t such a great idea after all. Remember when they were all celebrating? Well, they’re not fucking laughing now.

  13. We have seen mass senseless bombings, we have seen seen indiscriminate shooting of kids, women , unarmed civilians, we have seen hospitals being blown up, schools being bombed , every collage, every university being destroyed, doctors being killed, raped and kidnapped , we are seeing mass starvation , kids dying of hunger lack of baby formula , largest number of child amputees in the world and all that was lacking till now were concertation camps which we will see soon and some how they still will be the bad side and everything which was happening for last 70 plus years is their fault for not dying quietly as the large part of world wanted the so called free democratic world.
