    The Trump administration is seeking a $1 billion settlement from the University of California (UCLA) after an investigation found it had violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act for allowing “systemic antisemitism” against its students and staff, CNN reports.

    Last month, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced she was planning to “force UCLA to pay a heavy price for putting Jewish Americans at risk and continue our ongoing investigations into other campuses in the UC system.” The administration began freezing around $584 million in funding and grants to the college last week.

  25. UCLA can’t be sued as an individual institution, the UC board of regents is the proper party to be sued and Newsom, as the governor, is on the board of regents. I would not expect the sort of capitulation that people in this thread are expecting.
