Traveling with my girlfriend in Norway at the moment. We're planning on taking this route in the next two days. Probably won't have that much time to do long hikes etc but we'd like to know if you have any things that we must see. Had a hard time finding out when I tried to google and I feel like it should be beautiful since it's all along the coast. Thanks in advance for the help!

I’d check the low/high tide times and make sure you’re in saltstraumen for either. It’s apparantly the worlds strongest tidal current

I would recommend Saltstraumen and Svartisen. Here’s some information about Helgeland and Salten, the two regions you’re driving through:

Bøsanden
Svartisen – you can go up a construction road to Storglomvatnet in between the Svartistunnelen and the Fykantunnelen to get a great view of it on a clear day. But this takes a bit of time and involves a couple of slightly hairy unlit tunnels and single track roads. Or you can also see it pretty well from the main road, there’s a stopping place with a tourist info across the water from it.
Saltstraumen – just south of Bodø is the world’s strongest maelstrom, definitely worth stopping at if you’ve got the timings right.
Those are my favourite things in the area, but there are loads of places that are beautiful just to stop and have a look.
Saltstraumen and Åselidalen. Åselidalen is one of the most scenic places i know. 45-60 minut hike to the lake from r17. And both places Are quite near
Saltstraumen, Svartisen, stop by a place called “Mix” when you get to Ørnes for the best burgers ever made.
Valnesfossen
Visit Valnesfossen
Was there last week, Storvika was a nice stop for us. Would recommend if the weather is nice
