Source & Methodology:
Hey everyone, OP here with the details on the data. This visualization comes from a broader analysis I conducted to track the market capitalization growth of leading semiconductor and foundry companies over the past decade (2015–2025), with a focus on the role of AI in the industry’s expansion.
1. Data Source: Market capitalization figures were obtained from [MarketCapWatch](https://www.marketcapwatch.com/), covering NVIDIA, AMD, Broadcom, TSMC, and ASML. Data reflects year‑end market cap values (in USD) for each company across the 2015–2025 period.
2. Methodology: For each company, the reported market cap figures were converted into billions (e.g., “17,732,500,000” → “17.73 B”) for clarity and direct comparability. The data was then used to calculate growth multiples to highlight relative performance trends. The time series provides insight into both cyclical fluctuations and structural growth driven by technological shifts, including AI adoption and semiconductor demand.

This chart is part of a larger comparative study on semiconductor industry dynamics and AI’s economic impact. If you’re curious about deeper insights — such as segment‑wise performance or valuation trends — I’m happy to share more.
Nice graphic!
Pardon my ignorance. Nvidia and AMD make GPU’s, which turn out to be great for running neural networks. What AI related chips do the other companies make?
