    That said, it is also a common counter-intelligence strategy for Putin to communicate and leak one set of circumstances and then shortly afterwards announce a completely different set.  It undermines the US position and causes confusion.

    Either way, the Russian abandonment of all Ukrainian territories and a withdrawal to the border that was in place in 2014 needs to be the line drawn by the US.  Anything else reinforces that armed invasion is a permissible way to gain territory in the 21st century and will cause further global chaos (Gaza, Taiwan, etc.).  It also undermines the denuclearization pact signed by Ukraine which is guaranteed by the US.

  24. The bush league level this administration is operating at is in full display with Witkoff and his envoy.  

    Usually when you meet a head of state each side brings their own translator.  It keeps a level playing field, and ensures that no mistranslations or “side conversations” occurr.  

    When Witkoff went, they just “used” the same translator that Putin was using.  Think about that for a minute.  A confrontational counterpart who you’re going to trust blindly.  

    Minor league bullshit at it’s best.
