  1. Tl;dr: They made the correct decision that they only needed one.

  2. Is it actually funny in a classic NG way? It feels too margruber in the trailers.

I wish Stephen merchant wrote it.
It wouldn’t be as gag heavy but it probably would hit better the stoic dry thing LN is good at

  3. I assume because every other OJ joke possible has already been made by Norm Macdonald.

  4. I don’t know if I love the fact that the joke was in the trailer.

On one hand, it showed everyone that watched the trailer that the film was in good hands and will probably be very good. But damn, I wish the first time that joke hit was in the theater. It got a light chuckle from everyone bc we already saw it instead of a huge laugh it deserved.

  5. It only needed one and the one they did was perfect!

  6. I really liked the movie. It did the original justice and kept the same brand of humor. It felt quite out of place in the “modern era” of cinema, as the original was so distinctly 80s, but it was quite a good watch. The Cosby joke was (relatively) tasteful and funny. And it’s neat that the the main characters’ romance arc is very similar to Liam and Pamela’s actual interest in eachother
