Harvest day in North Chailey, viewed from the garden. King's Head Field.
It's what passes as rock'n'roll excitement on a Sunday lunchtime here.
Wheat this year. Have been watching it suffer from spring with this weather.
Audio track by Kveld – 'Tian (instrumental)', and harvester audio is by Claas, as it happened.

Will take 4m10s away from your life watching this.
Hope you enjoy!

Did you take Ayahuasca before filming this?
What’s with the random filter that gets applied around 23 seconds in? Kind of ruins the vid.
Harvest time always makes me feel a little sad as it heralds the ending of summer
The spice must flow
Prepare yourself for the spiders my man. And mice.
I used to live next to a field just like this as a wee boy. The hayfever was unreal.
The barley field behind my house was harvested Thursday and baled Friday. I’ll miss it blowing in the wind and looking like rippling waves. Until next year when it all starts again.
I love watching the cycle of life and food production going on in the fields around my house. We have cows, sheep, wheat, barley and hay. I’ve been in this house five years and could set my clock by what’s going on in the fields.
And now I just think of the Tractor Ted song – any other parents get this stuck in their heads?

Is that sped up? Doesn’t look very yieldy if it isn’t
Kind of sad but good at the same time but still sad that agriculture is no longer a large employer globally. I see the same in Rajasthan, single tractor does the field. Job done
Will they plant another batch? Plenty of growing time left
