Chugach Government Solutions has welcomed Tom Fortunato as vice president of business development.
Fortunato, who announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post on Saturday, steps into the role with more than a decade of leadership experience in business development.

The executive joined CGS from Akima, where he served as vice president of business development, responsible for leading a team of business development and capture managers to develop and execute the company’s emerging market group growth strategy.
He held similar leadership roles at General Dynamics Information Technology, where he supported the identification, development and implementation of near-term and long-term business strategies relating to the growth of its Army mission sector and defense division, and at ASI government, where he led business strategies and growth, to include planning, business development and capture.
He also became vice president of market strategy and growth at FedBid, a multibillion-dollar cloud-based marketplace for government and business buyers.
Before joining FedBid, Fortunato was a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting’s strategy and operations service area, where he worked across multiple market segments, building integrated strategies and business operations solutions.
The executive, who previously served in the U.S. Army as part of the Transportation Corps, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Radford University and the University of Phoenix, respectively.
