Longer video of the incident/fight between the Chinese Coast Guard, the PLA Navy destroyer 164, and the Philippine Coast Guard. The CCG 3104 ship was trying to attack the Philippine ship with a water cannon; while in pursuit, the Chinese ships made a navigational mistake and collided.

  1. I don’t know if a water cannon firing counts as combat footage, but a PLA navy ship was also included.

  2. Looks like you posted a few seconds before me, so I’ll chip in with this statement from Philippine Coast Guard Commodore Jay Tarriela on X:

“PCG Implements Kadiwa Operation in Bajo de Masinloc and Offers Assistance to CCG Following Maritime Incident

In response to the presence of around 35 Filipino fishing vessels in Bajo de Masinloc, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) deployed the BRP Teresa Magbanua and BRP Suluan, along with MV Pamamalakaya, early this morning to carry out the “Kadiwa Para sa Bagong Bayaning Mangingisda (KBBM)” initiative.

During the operation, Philippine vessels and fishermen encountered hazardous maneuvers and blocking actions from other vessels in the vicinity. In particular, the MRRV 4406 was targeted with a water cannon, but the seamanship skills by PCG crew members allowed the vessel to successfully evade from getting hit.

In a related incident, a collision took place between China Coast Guard (CCG) vessel 3104 and People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) ship 164, approximately 10.5 nautical miles east of Bajo de Masinloc. The CCG 3104, which was chasing the BRP Suluan at high speed, performed a risky maneuver from the PCG vessel’s starboard quarter, leading to the impact with the PLA Navy warship. This resulted in substantial damage to the CCG vessel’s forecastle, rendering it unseaworthy.

Following the collision, the PCG immediately offered support, including assistance with man-overboard recovery and medical aid for any injured CCG crew members. Meanwhile, the MRRV 9701 safely escorted the Filipino fishermen to a secure location, where they are now being provided with essential fuel and supplies.

The Philippine Coast Guard reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding all maritime operations in the area and wishes for the swift recovery and proper treatment of any affected CCG personnel.”

  3. Sigh…it’s not combat footage and has been nuked a dozen times already.

  4. It seems the destroyer was trying to sink the Philippine ship by ramming by the side.

  5. Keeps getting funnier every single time I see it.

Gonna assume those fellas at the front of the cutter trying to throw a rubber bumper over the side at the last second probably aren’t doing too well.

  6. The Japanese-made PCG vessel was built for some serious drifting maneuvers.

  7. I was like, “where’s the other Chinese ship?”. Then it just overtakes the entire frame in a second LOL

  8. It almost looks like you can see blood in the bow wake of the PLA Navy ship at the 59 second mark; possibly from those two unfortunate sailors in the CG Cutter’s bow.

  9. I commend the brave destroyer for saving the pcg 🫡🤭

  10. Chinese coast guard, This is a chinese navy this is a chinese navy, please fucking crash your boat into us to avoid wrong judgement
