YES! Just today I noticed the outside of my windows covered in them. What are they?
Aye and they all flat out bucking each other. Spiders having a field day with them
Are you near the coast/sea?
Yep. Counted about a dozen of them so far today.
Thank god I still have my handy poundland zapper!
They’re all over Derry too
Called Love Bugs I believe, had a swarm of them in the summer in Belfast 2017/18 I think
I was driving from Belfast up the coast road and there was millions of them. Like literally swarms of them.
Yes, they are terrorising the front of my house and my car. What the hell is going on?!
Aye they’re everywhere. Car was covered with them earlier.
“And lo, the skies above Ulster grew dark with the wings of the black flies, and they descended upon the fields without number. They covered the rivers, and the beasts cried out in fear. The people shut their doors, yet the swarms found them still. And in that day, the sun was dim, and the hour of great reckoning began.” We are all doooomeddddd, I tell yeaaaa doomed.
yeah i’ve been keeping my windows closed, seems to be a lot more bugs this summer! i’ve had more wasps, flies & spiders
I noticed yesterday in work, going through an open walkway, the ground was COVERED in these yokes…all crawling about. There was a hundred at least
Aye they’re fuckin everywhere in Craigavon
Yes!
Duckflies, pain in the fkn arse.
Saw them having a war with some ants near the front of my garden
Everywhere at the minute
Noticed these horny wee hures riding all over my car the other day, must have been at least 30-40 of them ass to ass. 2 fell in the window when I started driving too.
The fact that we had a warm and humid spring is really the culprit. They bred like fuck then and now when the summer is kinda warm bust still humid has made their population boom
Chat GPT said that their larvae is a parasite that lives in worms
Poor fucking worms lol
Yes! Was up the Antrim coast and literally getting bate with them while walking
If you live close to lough neigh, then these are black flies, never seen anything like it before, houses ans gardens covered in these.
Yes. Absolutely loads. They’re all over my car too. They appeared en masse the day of that storm
I get the ones who like to fly near your face repeatedly but you can never catch them
Yes never had them or many before but there are thousands of them around outside of my gaff/neighbourhood
