The accident took place at 3:50 p.m. A report was received at Magen David Adom’s 101 emergency dispatch center about a motorcyclist who had been injured at the Ganot Interchange, exiting from Highway 1 toward Highway 4 northbound.

MDA paramedics and medics who arrived at the scene found the rider suffering from multi-system trauma and were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.

MDA paramedic Rina Atratsky, who treated him, said:

“The motorcyclist was lying unconscious beyond the guardrail with extremely severe injuries. We performed medical assessments, but his injuries were fatal, and we had no choice but to declare him dead on the spot.”

ZAKA Tel Aviv volunteers Shlomi Paz from the motorcycle unit and Shai Mizrahi, an ambulance driver, said:

“We were dispatched to Highway 1 near Ganot following a report of a motorcyclist, about 20 years old, who hit the guardrail and was thrown dozens of meters from the vehicle. His death was declared at the scene. It was a very difficult scene, with weather conditions making it harder for us to handle the deceased with dignity. With help from additional volunteers, we are caring for the deceased respectfully and collecting the many remains scattered at the site. The body will be transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for further examination.”
