Princess Beatrice is feeling the love as she celebrates her 37th birthday on Aug. 8 with a sweet tribute from her mom.

Sarah Ferguson, 65, marked the occasion on Instagram with a heartfelt post for her eldest daughter, who welcomed her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in January.

“Happy Birthday my darling Beatrice. There’s nothing quite like holding you in my arms and feeling the incredible bond we’ve shared since the day you were born,” the Duchess of York wrote below a video of her and Beatrice sharing a laugh and hug.

“You continue to inspire me every single day with your strength, your kindness, and the beautiful way you love and care for your family. Moments like this will never get old and I cherish them more than words can say. The hugs, the laughter, the quiet understanding between us,” she continued. “You make me so proud to be your mother, and I feel endlessly grateful for the woman you’ve become.”

The footage was set to “Your Song” by Ellie Goulding, a friend of Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie. The video clip shows the mother and daughter embracing each other behind the scenes at the launch of the Youth Impact Council in New York City in October 2024.

Popularly known as “Fergie,” the Duchess of York shares her daughters with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. Fergie and her daughters are famously close, with the Duchess of York telling PEOPLE in 2023 that they call themselves “the Tripod.”

Just days before her birthday, Beatrice stepped out with Edoardo and their children to celebrate the England women’s soccer team’s UEFA EURO 2025 victory over Spain on July 27. The family joined crowds outside Buckingham Palace — and the outing doubled as the first public appearance for their 7-month-old daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose.

Athena joins 3-year-old sister Sienna Elizabeth, named after Queen Elizabeth, and 9-year-old Christopher Woolf, affectionately known as Wolfie, Edo’s son from a previous relationship.

The Duchess of York is fully embracing her grandmother role, sharing a heartfelt Instagram post after Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Athena, was born prematurely on Jan. 29.

“I’m incredibly blessed to be a Granny once again,” Ferguson wrote. “So Proud of Edo, Beatrice and the rest of my little 5-a-side team!”

In March 2025, Princess Beatrice reflected on Athena’s early arrival in a first-person essay for British Vogue. She spoke candidly about the “sheer worry” of her daughter’s several-week premature birth, but added that she had “learned so much” from the experience.
