JACKSON, Tenn.– The Jackson Energy Authority tells us several hundred of its utility customers were left without power Wednesday night related to the storms that moved through our area.
According to an email from Steve Bowers with Jackson Energy Authority the scattered outages affected around 200 electric customers around the Hub City.
However, Bowers said there was a significant telecommunications outage not storm related – where a dump truck made cuts in a more that 1,400 telecom lines serving well over 1,000 customers.. That outage affected customers around the fairgrounds and areas of south Jackson.
Bowers said these cuts are major and will require significant time to replace or repair.
