The Israel Defense Forces announced that its planes struck Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters in Lebanon.
“The IAF (Israeli Air Force) has carried out an attack on a Hezbollah intelligence headquarters command center and an underground weapons workshop in Beirut,” the IDF said.
However, it is not clear whether the alleged headquarters was damaged or destroyed.
The IDF said “numerous steps” were taken to “mitigate the risk of harm to civilians,” including issuing advanced warnings to the population in the area. sky news, the Telegraph reports.
“Additionally, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Al-Haj Abbas Salama in the Tebnine area, a senior commander on Hezbollah’s southern front,” the Israeli military added.
The IDF claims that Salama oversaw fighting in the Bint Jbeil area and “executed many terrorist attacks” against Israel.
“Furthermore, terrorists Rada Abbas Awada and Ahmad Ali Hussein were eliminated,” the IDF continued.
As the Israeli military points out, Awada was a senior Hezbollah communications expert, and Hussein served as the head of a weapons production unit that was “responsible for building Hezbollah’s strategic weaponry, following in-depth manufacturing training in Iran.” /Telegraph/
