The only way this is going to happen in blue states is if Texas executes this power grab. All of us, whether we’re Democrats, independents, or Republicans, we should stand up to politicians who don’t want to face accountability at the ballot box. That’s exactly what’s happening here. And I asked you, if Republican policies are popular, why do they need to redraw these maps? Why can’t they just run on their policies? I’m I’m getting wrapped on time.     And even if he meant the Democrats want to ban it at a point when the grid is in their favour, it wouldn't make sense, EITHER WAY!

  38. I guess the only argument Republicans could make in this case is that populism is wrong, which I've heard their influencers say already. For example, Charlie Kirk starting to say things like "democracy isn't in the constitution".

  42. i'm not american…but i just looked it up to see if blue states had redrawn districts in the past…. and they absolutely have. what am i missing here? why is he complaining?

    they voted to ban gerrymandering in 2021 AFTER they let california redraw their map. of course republicans would vote against it.
