    There should be a understanding that nationalism in the oppressed and nationalism in the oppressor are fundamentally different.

    The oppressed, Azov wants to protect the nation and see it grow, the oppressors, Rusich, Wagner etc view their nation as superior and seek to assimilate or dominate other nations.

    Maybe there should also be a careful acknowledgment that after the war, during times of peace the oppressed can become the oppressors. But that discussion should be saved for after the war, it’s not useful for national defense.
