Rockstar Energy Open 2025 Day Two
Fans at the Rockstar Energy Open enjoyed a packed day of skateboard competition and music. The Women’s Park Final started the day with an electric heat with Sky Brown, Bryce Wettstein and Mizuho Hasegawa upping the ante with every run. After the second round of runs, Bryce Wettstein and Sky Brown sat atop the leaderboard. However, last year’s champion Mizuho Hasegawa saved her best for the final run of the contest to jump from third to first place. Her unique line included a kickflip Indy over the hip and went alley oop to nosegrind on the vert wall and a crowd-pleasing stall on the Rockstar Energy logo feature. As Sky and Bryce lifted her onto their shoulders to celebrate, Mizuho yelled, “I’m so happy!”

In Men’s Street Semi-finals, a field of 24 battled it out for their spot in tomorrow’s final. The top ten transfer spots were led by last year’s third place winner, Braden Hoban. His second run knocked Kairi Netsuke into second place and then up-and-comer Julian Agliardi snagged the third spot over Kelvin Hoefler with his final run.
In the Park Best Trick Jam, Keegan Palmer (AUS) won for “Best Trick Overall” for a backside nose blunt on the Rockstar Energy logo feature and Greyson Fletcher (USA) won for the “Best Time” for pumping up the fans and throwing down the most crowd pleasing tricks.
“The best way I can describe the overall vibe out there is like when you go to a football game and you have that feeling in your chest where it’s vibrating from all of the energy? My biggest influence in being hyped up is the fan energy and hearing the screaming from behind my head. I just have to sustain my mind, my body and my energy!” said Palmer.
“Portland is the best city in the world. There are dreamland skate parks out here like Burnside, Red and Dreamland. Thanks to everyone for coming out. There’s a lot of badass skateboarders out there so I want to thank them. Make more events like this one!” said Fletcher.
In the Street Best Trick Jam, Chris Joslin won for “Best Trick” for nollie backside 360 heelflip down the gap and 11-year-old Wyatt Hammond won the NIXON award for the “Best Time”.

“The emotions I’m feeling right now are just because this win is a reminder that I never want to take this for granted again,” said an emotional Joslin as teammate Braden Hoban poured a Rockstar over him. “I love skateboarding so much, and it’s been a couple of years with a lot of ups and downs, unfortunately, some big hiccups, so the focus I found tonight is proof of how much I’ve cleared my mind, been able to see what I’ve got to do, and get back to skateboarding.”
All Best Trick winners won a backpack from Portland Gear and a custom NIXON x RSEO watch.
The final day of the Rockstar Energy Open opens up at 12:45 p.m. with the Women’s Street Final, followed by the Men’s Park Final and Men’s Street Final.
