The Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB) has named its 14-player squad to compete in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier. The Europe Division One Qualifier will be hosted by the Netherlands and will include participating teams from Germany, Ireland, and Italy. The top two teams from the Europe Qualifier will further advance to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, scheduled to take place in Nepal in January 2026.

Netherlands Women’s Head Coach Neil MacRae remarked that the team has developed important match readiness after securing a 2-1 series win against English Tier 1 County side Essex CCC. MacRae noted that confidence and anticipation are building ahead of their opening tournament match against Italy on August 20 at Hazelaarweg Stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Babette de Leede will captain the Dutch squad in the upcoming Europe Qualifiers. A prolific right-handed wicketkeeper-batter, de Leede is the second-highest run-scorer for the Netherlands in T20 Internationals (T20Is), amassing 1,173 runs. She is one of only three Dutch batters to surpass the 1,000-run mark in the format. In addition, she has over 60 dismissals to her name behind the stumps. With her wealth of experience, de Leede is expected to play a pivotal role in the Netherlands’ push for qualification to the Global Qualifiers.
Robine Rijke adds further experience to the Netherlands squad. With 1,022 runs in 67 T20I innings, she stands as the third-highest run-scorer for the Netherlands in the format. A key figure in the middle order, Rijke’s ability to stabilise and anchor the innings will be crucial to the team’s success in the qualifiers.
At just 23 years old, Iris Zwilling is a rising star in the Netherlands squad. She has scored 734 runs in 55 T20I innings, including two half-centuries, showcasing her potential with the bat. However, it is her bowling that truly stands out, as she holds the record for the most wickets for the Netherlands in Women’s T20Is with 72. Her impressive all-round capabilities make her a crucial asset for the Dutch side in the upcoming qualifiers.
Leg-spinner Caroline de Lange will be another key player for the Netherlands. With 57 wickets, she ranks second on the list of all-time leading wicket-takers for the Netherlands in T20Is. Her economy rate of under 6 reflects her discipline and effectiveness in controlling the run flow, making her a valuable asset in the bowling attack.
