Gun Control: Examining the Second Amendment Debate

So given that it’s not an absolute right, that there are certain weapons you can’t have, why not add assault weapons instead of no. The right to bear arms is an absolute right. It’s the only constitutional amendment that has literally stated in it shall not be infringed. Absolutely an absolute absolutely. No one’s saying ban your gun. We’re saying regulate them like background checks on every single gun. Now, how would you enforce that? Okay, if we’re going to suggest a solution, at least have something that’s enforceable. It’s not like the inner city in like Chicago is so different from like the inner city in like Louisiana, right? It’s the same [ __ ] the same problems. So, if we understand that and they’re happening in these very specific areas, why the [ __ ] are we still talking about gun control? We’ve got to stop giving this power to the government to basically treat a constitutional right like it’s a privilege. We don’t do this with any other constitutional right except for the Second Amendment. And ironically, second amendment is the only constitutional right that gives the most power to the people. If there are fewer guns out there, people attempt to as much, but they don’t succeed as often because that’s absolutely not true. That’s yes. No, that’s absolutely true. You see the changes in gun ownership. If there was a direct correlation between the number of guns that were available and we would be leading the world. research that just came out that demonstrated that armed legal gun owners actually do a better job at stopping active shooters than uniform police officers. They’re inherently attributing a negative character to firearms outright. Right. It’s because lots of people die at their at at firearms. That’s why I do that. The same could be said of cars, right? But you’re not advocating banning cars or limiting people’s access to to vehicles. You can’t take I mean, and if you’re not going to address the real issue, shut the [ __ ] up about guns cuz you don’t care and you have a totally different motivation for why you’re pushing it and has nothing to do with actually saving lives. I don’t want me protecting my life to be a competition. I want it to be as lopsided as possible because I’m not the one threatening someone’s life. I’m going about my life and someone’s trying to interfere with that and so I want to be in the best position possible to guard against that. Should you be able to buy a tank? You can’t own a tank in America. So you should you think the public should have tanks? You can own tanks in America. So that’s okay to have tanks. I don’t have a problem with it. Do you think it’s a good idea to give anybody the right to have a tank and blow up cities? If it was about safety, they would understand that having a database of gun owners is basically a laundry list for all the criminals to go out and find the people who have guns that they can go and steal. So the criminals want the list so they can go and take the guns. And the government wants the list so that they can go at some point and take the guns as well. If you scream fire in a crowded movie theater, that’s not protected speech. Those same limitations apply to the Second Amendment. From the Second Amendment standpoint, I can’t murder anybody with my gun. The same way you can’t yell fire in a movie theater. If you do, you go to jail. If I use a firearm to kill someone, I go to jail. And they’re willing to die for these students. So, why not put them in a position to fight for them? Because they’re teachers. You’re absolutely right. But the moment somebody walks into that classroom with a gun and start shooting at kids, they don’t have an option.

Colion Noir Debate over the Second Amendment: Is the right to bear arms absolute? The discussion explores gun control, self-defense, and the role of armed citizens in stopping active shooters. The question remains: are more guns the solution or the problem?

  1. Yeah but nobody's trying to take away your ability to say the word fire. There is just a law that has consequences if you were to use that word in a way that harms others. The same way as there are laws that exact punishments if you use a firearm in an incorrect manner harming others.

  2. You really don't hate these people enough. They absolutely want to take your guns and yes, they will do whatever they want after that. Without the 2nd all others are toilet paper.

  3. Do these control advocates actually believe if only single shot weopons were allowed, no one would be killed by those guns?

  4. The problem is that the people who want to infringe on the Second Amendment do not want stricter laws for those who illegally use guns. For example, you can shoot at someone and as long as you don’t kill them you might get six months in the county jail.

  5. I have a screenshot of a meme, it is a bunch of skulls from Cambodia and it says: "That face you make when you give up your guns." I consider gun grabbers to be genocidal mass murderers.

  6. "Do you think it's a good idea to give anybody the right to have a tank and blow up cities?"
That's conflation. Even if we had a right to own a tank, that is not a right to blow up cities. Those are two separate concepts.

  7. Then go live in Britain. That's all I want to say. That's what this country wants to turn to. Then f**** go live there.Because you would have to kill me to take my guns

  8. I'm not even an American, nor do I live in the USA, and still agree 100 PERCENT with what Colion is saying here and with what 2A stands for.

  9. Stupid morons on here who have never read the 2nd amendment keep talking about the "shall not be infringed."

READ IT MORONS. It says: A WELL REGULATED….FIRST DAMN 3 WORDS ARE A WELL REGULATED…and they aren't even talking about guns…they are talking about a MILITIA…nowhere does it say "the right o bear arms shall not be infringed!" NOWHERE YOU MORONS! YOU'RE ALL IDIOTS WHO JUST GASLIGHT EACH OTHER. You're CULT MEMBERS. Idiots. Usless to a propsperous society because you're not only INCAPABLE OF LOGIC, but INCAPABLE OF READING COHERENTLY, DOING ANY INDEPENDENT REASEARCH, HAVING ANY REASONABLE LEVEL OF INTELLECTUAL SKEPTICISM, and don;t know how to just admit WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN WRONG!

Why do you people treat "WELL REGULATED" as if its the worse thing in the world. Morons bring up CARS as an example. Um, you mean, the fucking thing you need a license for?! ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE, TAXED, RE-TAXED, REGULATED, OVERREGULATED, TICKETED, FINED CREATIONS OF MAN!? Seriously!?

Americans are getting so stupid its scary and I hate to see black people, who are the ones using the guns to kill each other the most but also the ones getting SHOT by these guns the most, PARTICULARLY BY THE POLICE, getting involved. So, it definitely is a STUPIDITY issue when the DUMBEST OF US, are the firs tto jump up and be like YEAH, STOP HATING ON THOSE PEOPLE WHO KEEP SHOOTING AND KILLING US.

    We're so fucked.

  10. The second amendment isn’t just about us owning guns, it’s also about the ability to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. That’s why we need assault rifles. Imagine if the government your trying to fight has body armor and assault rifles, and you have a tee shirt and a pistol. That’s absurd, and defeats the entire purpose of the amendment
