Portugal Commemorates Superman with Exclusive Self-Adhesive Stamps

Portugal’s national postal service, CTT Correios de Portugal, has released a special series of self-adhesive stamps celebrating the legendary superhero, Superman. The stamps honor Superman’s enduring legacy as one of popular culture’s most iconic figures, capturing his heroism, strength, and unwavering commitment to justice.


The stamps themselves feature various depictions of Superman, highlighting his evolution through different eras of comics, including the Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Modern eras, alongside classic cover art. This series celebrates Superman’s cultural impact as a global symbol of justice and hope.


The stamp set is available in multiple formats for collectors and fans. The standard set can be purchased directly from CTT Correios de Portugal online, while additional collectible formats include a booklet set containing six self-adhesive stamps and a First Day Cover (FDC), which is a specially designed envelope or card with the stamps affixed and a unique postmark indicating the date of issue.
