Ukraine expects the arrival of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission at the end of August. This was stated by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko during a presentation, writes UNN.

“We expect an IMF mission at the end of August,” she said during the presentation of the Government’s Action Program on Monday.
Svyrydenko also reported that Verkhovna Rada deputies would be part of the negotiating group.
“We would very much like the demands of our partners to be coordinated with us. Preferably coordinated with the European Union… We need to work so that the IMF and European Union programs are coordinated with each other,” she added.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced Ukraine’s likely request for additional funding from the IMF, as international donors have allocated only half of the necessary funds. She also plans to discuss financial assistance and joint weapons production with the United States.
