Newsom’s “throw the rules book out” approach, with digs at Democrats ansd Republicans, criticized by many, now seems like his own cohesive strategy at creating an independent identity with a more energetic, down to earth Democratic Party led by Mr. Telegenic Guy, all with a dollop of much-needed and missing humor.
