A pedestrian died Tuesday night after being hit by a train in Langley, police say.
The Langley RCMP says first responders found the victim at the crossing near Crush Crescent and Glover Road around 10:15 p.m.
The location of the incident indicates that the train involved was a freight train.
“Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt Zynal Sharoom in an RCMP release Wednesday.
Police are asking for witnesses to the collision to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2025-27352.
