Tehran’s propaganda against PMOI reveals its terror of a viable alternative

A surge of frantic propaganda from the Iranian regime’s state-controlled media is not a sign of strength, but an involuntary confession of its profound fear. In recent weeks, the clerical regime has unleashed a coordinated campaign of demonization against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), revealing a deep-seated panic about the growing influence and legitimacy of the Iranian Resistance.

This hysterical reaction has emanated from every corner of the state’s repressive apparatus. On August 17, the IRGC’s Javan newspaper claimed the PMOI has no support inside Iran. Similar attacks have appeared in the Quds Force’s Tasnim News Agency and the Judiciary’s Mizan News Agency.

Secret Prison in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan

Recent credible information from inside Iran has revealed the existence of a secret prison in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, operated under the guise of an industrial warehouse. This hidden detention center, managed by the clerical regime in Iran, is marked by severe human rights violations, including torture, inhuman treatment, and denial of basic necessities. Prisoners held in this facility are subjected to systematic deprivation. Electricity and water are frequently cut for days, while the lack of cooling systems makes survival unbearable during the summer heat. Basic items such as refrigerators or communication devices are completely absent. Food distribution is scarce and of extremely poor quality; on many days each prisoner receives no more than two loaves of bread and a small portion of inadequate food. Medical services are nonexistent. The only medications distributed are tranquilizers and methadone, effectively forcing prisoners into dependency rather than providing treatment.

Iran: Gas Reserves and Ongoing Energy Shortages

Iran, with 1,201 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, is the second-largest holder of gas reserves in the world. This capacity could provide energy security and sustainable development for its population of 85 million. However, according to state media, repeated gas shortages during the winter months and widespread electricity outages in the summer of 2025 have created challenges in people’s daily lives.
Energy experts state that despite Iran’s significant gas reserves, the country has not invested adequately in energy infrastructure, modernization of gas transmission networks, or electricity production technologies. According to these assessments, revenues from natural resources have been directed to other areas, limiting investment in domestic energy development.

Iran Regime’s “Reformists”: Recycling Slogans in a Broken System

The regime’s so-called reformists once again return with familiar promises, but their latest statement only highlights their role as a survival mechanism for a dying dictatorship. The Iranian regime’s so-called “reformists” have resurfaced with yet another statement, brimming with recycled slogans and lofty promises. Once again, they speak of “national reconciliation” and “returning to the people”—phrases that sound inspiring until one recalls that they’ve been repeated endlessly over the past four decades without ever being translated into action. This movement, outwardly branded as “reformist,” has long since shed any credibility. In reality, it is less a political current than a “party of wheelspin,” endlessly turning but never moving forward. The reformists do not aim for genuine change; their function has always been clear—prolong the survival of a regime in which they are full and loyal partners.
