Burial spaces run out in Gaza: ‘Sometimes people are forced to bury relatives on sidewalks’

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Saturday (August 16) that Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu has become a “problem”, adding she would try to put pressure on Israel over the Gaza war as her country currently holds the EU presidency. Meanwhile the UN confirmed Friday that over 1700 people have been killed while seeking aid in Gaza. The soaring death toll pushing the enclave into a devastating reality: there is no longer enough space to bury the dead.

  1. They can bury their dead on multiple levels like they do in Iran's cemetaries. the mullah in Iran sends them weapons, should have told them what to do with the result of using them too. It's not too late to learn tho, I'm sure they'll figure it out since they know how to dig kilometers of tunnles.

  2. We are beyond the point of sanctions, we now need a full military blockade of Israel by land, sea and air.

  3. Maybe the tunnels can be turned into cemeteries since they couldn't be used as shelters. Although Hamas funeral PR parades will be challenging in these environment. But hey they proved to be creative so far.

  4. Don't forget 50 thousand idf killed and wounded and another million Israelis already have left Palestine since October 2 years ago never to return and their economy is bleeding to death and worse is to come

  5. This is so disturbing. Israel and its supporters are the worst of the worst. I don't know how anyone can support this in 2025.

  6. Hamas is getting pounded. In a month ot two it may be over. Luckily the civilians got 1,1 kg food pr day so far this year, and 1,2 kg so far this month. Nice of UN and 170 NGO's to stop food from May 19th to end of July?

  7. The military buries spouses stacked, my grandmother is waiting for my grandfather. They had a beautiful love story. Seeing people forced to use the same method out of desperation is heartbreaking.
