Romania’s central bank board unanimously voted to keep the benchmark interest rate (ROINTR=ECI) on hold at 6.50% at its meeting on August 8, it said in a statement on Thursday.
“Board members reiterated the importance of further closely monitoring domestic and global developments so as to enable the NBR to tailor its available instruments in order to achieve the fundamental objective regarding medium-term price stability, while safeguarding financial stability,” the bank said in a statement.
