Gap Releases ‘Inclusive’ KATSEYE Ad After Sydney Sweeney Jeans Controversy

  1. I wish the K-pop band NewJeans hadn’t committed career suicide, because this would have been marketing gold.

  2. Gap has always been inclusive, long before it being a thing.

  3. Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.

Ad campaigns take months to complete and Gap had this in the pipeline long before the AE fiasco. This has nothing to do with AE

  4. God has always ran inclusive ads.

    Edit: GAP not god JFC

  5. The videos for this are really well done, too. This would be a banger campaign even if it wasn’t for Syd-gate, and KATSEYE being insanely popular rn.

  6. I still don’t understand what the controversy is, someone please fill me in

  7. Do advertisers really think we give a shit about this stuff? It’s just cotton pants made in China. All from the same factory too. It’s a self-created controversy.

  8. I’m old. Never heard of Katseye. But this coincidence, 2 denim ads coming out at the same time, one irritating and stupid, with the terrible copy delivered with Sydney Sweeney’s irritating vocal fry or whatever it is, in jeans that don’t fit her, and one fun, sexy and diverse, with denim that fits – is a marketing win for the Gap.

I’ll bet the sales numbers will reflect that.

  9. Are we literally going to have chuds making culture war content over jean commercials now.

  10. People are still worked up about this, it’s just jeans people, relax.

  11. Who is excited for denim in year of our lord 2025??????????????????

  12. Is there a white person on the ad? How is this inclusive?

  13. Why worry about jeans so much much much much much?

I guess I’m just so outta touch

  14. Good play by GAP. They probably weren’t selling many to MAGA anyway. Seems like a great way to be on the right side of history and improve sales.
