Short Strand Weekend Closures – Resurfacing (2 images)

Short Strand will be closed this weekend between Bridge End and Albertbridge Road, and two further weekends, for resurfacing works.

The road will close from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Monday, with alternate diversion routes for traffic.

Northbound Traffic, i.e. coming from Albertbridge Road (Ravenhill Rd/Woodstock Rd/Castlereagh St) heading towards Bridge End should follow the Orange/Yellow Route:
Albertbridge Road -> Newtownards Road -> Bridge End.

Southbound Traffic, coming from Bridge End heading towards Albertbridge Road (Ravenhill Rd/Woodstock Rd/Castlereagh St) should follow the Blue Route:
Bridge End -> Oxford Street -> East Bridge Street -> Albertbridge Road.

Allow extra time for your journey, and be aware unofficial routes may not be suitable for larger vehicles; and could take longer as they may not have priority for traffic light phases.
