  1. Luton is prettier than I imagined, also this sea level rise business seems to be getting pretty bad

  2. ‘Esplanade’ fish and chips at the bottom of that railway is highly recommended

  3. It’s a family day out, without breaking the bank

  4. Is the steering wheel incase the driver gets bored and wants to go off road?

  5. Might go take a visit to Luton, never new it was this beautiful.

  6. I live nearby.
The queue to go down is always quite short. The queue to go back up however…

The zig-zag walk up is part of the South West Coast Path and is bloody hard work

  7. Wow, you can see all the way to Stevenage from up there!

  8. Luton-sur-Mer. I remember my childhood there. Swimming in Wardown Park Lido and then off to the Arndale centre to buy toys.

  9. poor Luton about to get overrun with soon to be disappointed bank holiday day trippers…

  10. I bought my second to last car in Luton. Place looks way different now

  11. **HEY OP!** That’s **’Lynton’** NOT ‘Luton’.

I worked in Luton for a while and thought it was a dump. Also, it is nowhere near the sea 😏

  12. Before it started I thought it was going to shoot down that track like a rollercoaster. While it’s beautiful, I can’t help but be a little disappointed

  13. I love it there the art gallery in Lytham is lovely and the craft fair in Luton church is great.
The railway thing is so fun every time. Great one in bridgenorth too

  14. We have one of these in Folkestone.

It’s nowhere near as big as this one, but it’s still just so cool to see this old stuff still up and running.

  15. It’s run by water. There are 2 cars joined by cable. When one goes down it drags the other up. When there is a car at the top it fills with water making it heavy and pushing the car down. On the way down it loses water and is empty when it reaches the bottom. Now there is a new car at the top which fills with water and the cycle continues. Source: the driver told my very enthusiastic son all about it on the way down.

  16. Luton looks absolutely beautiful. Will have to book something there for next summer.
