The youngsters’ father, who was in shock, was taken to hospital. The three had been on vacation in Turkey. The cause of death is unclear and a possible poisoning is being investigated.

NTV quoted a hotel employee as saying that the father had called for help. “He called for his children,” Mehmet Kirdag told the television station. “I knocked on the door and when I entered, both sons were dead, one in bed, the other on the floor.” The emergency services were only able to determine the death of the two teenagers.

According to media reports, the teenagers and their father, who were on vacation in Turkey, had been out for dinner the previous evening in the popular tourist district of Taksim. However, the 57-year-old father is said not to have eaten anything, unlike his sons.
