Medical students at Albany Medical College are honoring those who made the ultimate gift to science.
At a graveside service held at an Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands, students and faculty paid tribute to 170 people who donated their bodies through the school’s anatomical gift program.
Families of these body donors were also in attendance.
Organizers said the ceremony is a reminder that every lesson learned in the lab begins with an extraordinary act of generosity.
