  1. It’s amazing how so many people cycle around London with the insane number of illegally modified e bikes and mopeds being driven by unlicensed drivers. Surprised people aren’t killed more often.

  2. Saw the aftermath of this yesterday – white sheet over the body.

So sad, so sad to think someone didn’t make it home because of some bellend.

Rumours on the scene where he had stolen the moped and others tried to stop him but couldn’t. I hope he’s found and sentenced to murder.

    Despicable

  3. Cycling in London is so dangerous, also everyone hates cyclists as well even though motor vehicles literally have mad dps

  4. Weird headline. Would you ever get: “Man cyclist dies…”

  5. Motorcycle/moped/bike riders in general (especially in London) are a fucking nightmare, all have L plates riding around like absolute twats, something does need to be done otherwise this will become a very regular occurrence

  6. Here’s to hoping the Met actually does something to find this murderer.

  7. That moped driver is about to find out about mobile phone tracking data and how the police use it.

  8. I nearly was crushed by a van today because they were too impatient to wait for me to pass a parked car before performing a dangerous overtake. They forced me behind the parked car and 10 seconds later they stopped at a red light.

I pulled beside them and asked what they were thinking, so I learned today I am not a van, which means I am undeserving to be treated with respect, they do not care if they put me in mortal danger.

The ambivalence and disregard for cyclists in London has put it in my mind that the city is too full of scummy drivers, and nothing short of drastic action and a culture shift will solve this problem. I’m tired of riding with anxiety and knowing somebody is going to seriously hurt me some day, and to them, it will be my fault.

We need harsher punishments, as of right now there is no motivation for dangerous drivers to stop their behaviour short of killing me with their car. They can knock me off, damage my equipment, shout expletives, and despite the reports made, nothing is done.
