The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, one of the world’s most influential political figures, made an unannounced visit with his family to the famous Viking restaurant in Lim Bay.

The visit was kept strictly incognito—so much so that even the restaurant staff were unaware of their distinguished guest until after his arrival. Security measures were discreet, meaning that most diners likely had no idea they were sharing a meal with the British Prime Minister, known for his modest, down-to-earth nature and reputation as an “anti-celebrity” among world leaders.

The family chose to dine at Viking, a legendary seafood restaurant in Lim Bay run by the Matošević family. Celebrated for its oysters, which are still cultivated in the bay, Viking marked its 60th anniversary last year. Founded by Marčela and Alfio Matošević, the restaurant is now managed by their son Vili and his family.
