I just found a tiny kitten abandoned right by the rocky coast. Looked like it was left there on purpose. Sadly I couldn’t take it with me. If anyone is nearby: it’s hiding under the stone table at the roadside rest area, very shy and then ran up into the rocky slope.

It is at a roadside rest area between Stryn and Erdal at the Oppstrynsvatnet. Maybe there is someone nearby who has the time and ressources to help the cat and bring it to a vet or animal shelter.

  1. Midtnorsk Katteskrullekompetansesenter on FB might be worth contacting. A local Dyrebeskyttelse is also a possibility, but they tend to be swamped.

  2. Should have picked it up and dropped it either in Stryn, Hjelle, Folven depending on what direction you were going. Would have encountered at least one local with a sweet and soft heart for this kitten.

  5. Can’t believe you saw a lost kitten, took a picture, made a post, but made no effort to help it.

    If a friend ever told me they did something like this I dont know if I’d forgive them.

  6. I did send an iMessage (late Sunday evening) to the number listed for Tunnold Gård which is nearby, linking to this thread here, so hoping they see it and can take action or have someone they know take action.
